DoubleClick Launches Data Management Solutions Division

DoubleClick Inc. on Tuesday announced the acquisition of CSC Advanced Database Solutions (CSC), a privately held data management solutions company. Company officials said data management is a logical extension of DoubleClick's marketing infrastructure offering, with more than 20% of CSC's customers already customers of DoubleClick's technology or data products. Financial terms of the all-cash deal were not disclosed. Since 1981, CSC Advanced Database Solutions has been a provider of data management services, specializing in building, maintaining and providing access to customer marketing databases. With more than 100 employees and 100 customers, CSC was ranked as one of the ten leading database marketing services vendors by Forrester Research, in their April 2003 Buyers Guide to Database Marketing Service Providers. CSC operates in the retail, catalog, financial services, not-for-profit and publishing industries. DoubleClick plans to continue to offer and build the data management solutions business as a stand-alone offering, and over time plans to offer an integrated marketing solution consisting of Data Management Solutions, Abacus, Ensemble, DARTmail, DART, UnityMail, SiteAdvance and ChannelView.
