Local online advertising company Yodle announced four new hires this week, snapping up executives from Amazon, MeetUp.com, Register.com and SendTraffic.com to fill leadership roles amidst the company's national expansion.

First up is Tom Hubbard, who will lead Yodle's tech research and development efforts as director of optimization. Hubbard comes to Yodle from Amazon, where he managed development of the Web giant's third-party display ad platform.

Todd Herrold joins as general manager of the Yodle Network, while Brian Battjer has signed on as director of product management. Herrold most recently served as director of product management at Register.com, and Battjer served as group product manager at Meetup.com.

And for search, Yodle has named Brook Shepard director of search marketing. In his new role, Shepard will help Yodle's paid and organic search teams identify and grow new sources of search traffic. Shepard worked at New York-based SEM agency SendTraffic.com prior to joining Yodle.
