Gannett Co. has cut jobs at four of its six New Jersey newspapers due to a challenging ad climate. Some 55 posts were eliminated; the newspapers were: the
Asbury Park Press, the
Home News
Tribune in East Brunswick, the
Courier News in Bridgewater and the
Daily Record in Parsippany. Gannett has earlier offered voluntary buyouts to employees over age 55, with 15 years
of service.
