Alpha Media Group, parent company of
Maxim and
Blender magazines, has named Jay Woodruff editor in chief of Maxim.com.
In his new role, Woodruff will lead Maxim.com's
editorial team in its coverage of men's lifestyle topics, while working with James Kaminsky, Maxim's editorial director, to ensure that the strategies for both the digital and print versions
are aligned.
Woodruff most recently served as managing editor of EW.com, the companion site to Entertainment Weekly. He succeeds Gene Newman, who has been part of Maxim's digital
division since its inception in 1999.
