Aegis Bolsters Isobar, Adds Korea To Digital Media 'Network'

U.K.-based media agency holding company Aegis Group Tuesday said it is expanding its burgeoning Isobar digital media network with a 51 percent stake in Agency W, one of the largest digital marketing agencies in Korea. The deal is the third acquisition for Isobar in the past eight weeks and gives it a key foothold in the rapidly expanding Asian market. Koreas are heavy users of the internet with more than 11 million broadband subscribers nationwide. According to Aegis CEO Douglas Flynn, "It's a country where digital marketing now ranks as the second most preferred medium used by advertisers."
