E-publisher and ad network Glam Media on Monday announced the acquisition of Monetise Limited, a U.K.-based online media sales company. Financial terms were not disclosed.

With the integration of Monetise, Glam Media is hoping to improve its position in the U.K. online branded ad market.

Founded three years ago, Monetise claims to have built a profitable business representing properties in the UK market, including Flixster.com, TVGuide.co.uk, and ARTISTdirect.com.

Jon Walsh, co-founder and Sales Director at Monetise, is joining Glam Media as Glam Media Entertainment Sales Director. Walsh has more than eight years of digital media sales experience, having worked on sites such as Friendsreunited, Multimap, Setanta Sports and Oli.co.uk.
