Watching EFFIE

Leo Burnett USA and its corporate clients are the big winners for the 2002 EFFIE Awards winning twelve awards. A variety of Burnett's corporate brands took the honors: Kraft Foods' Altoids (2), Disney Cruise Line, Kellogg's Nutri-Grain, MorningStar Farms, Nintendo Conker's BFD, Procter & Gamble's Tampax Compak, Polaroid's i-Zone, Heinz Tomato Ketchup and the United States Army. Also, Lapiz, the Hispanic marketing unit of Leo Burnett won an EFFIE for its Procter & Gamble Gain campaign. Based in Chicago, Leo Burnett USA is an agency in the Bcom3 Group. Young & Rubicam is the runner up, winning nine EFFIEs, eight of them for campaigns created in the New York office. At the June 5th Awards Gala, the winners will learn whether they have won a Gold, Silver or Bronze EFFIE and also who will win advertising's prestigious award - the Grand EFFIE.
