Bryant Gumbel is on his way out at CBS. After five years with the network, the last two-and-a-half as the anchor of The Early Show, Gumbel is leaving to pursue unspecified other interests. The exact
timing of his departure has yet to be determined, and no decision has been made in regards to a possible replacement.
