Alec Gerster, CEO of Grey Global Group's MediaCom, has been named CEO of Interpublic Group of Cos.' Initiative Media Worldwide. Gerster, who had spent most of his career at Grey, joining the company
1972, replaces Lou Schultz, who retired in January. Alexander Schmidt-Vogel, MediaCom Worldwide COO, was named to replace Gerster at MediaCom. Dene Callas and Jon Mandel, co-managing directors of
MediaCom U.S., were named co-CEOs of the agency's U.S. operations.
