Recession, what recession? Newspaper food magazine Relish, published by the Publishers Group of America, will increase circulation from 12 million to 15 million in January 2009 issue and
add a 13th issue.
Ad revenues at Relish are about $62.3 million, up more than 80% from last year. Ad pages are up 29.4% for the first half of 2008 compared to the same period
last year, per PIB.
"Relishhas been a rocket that has resonated with advertisers, publishers and readers," says publisher Tracy Altman. Relish launched in February 2006
and has increased circulation by 3 million each year. Late last year, Bain Capital Ventures and the Shamrock Capital Growth Fund acquired it.
