Glam Media Launches In Germany

Glam Media has launched in Germany ( as a joint venture with Glam strategic investor Burda Cross Media, a unit of Hubert Burda Media led by board member Christiane zu Salm.

Glam is acquiring key assets, technology and employees from Munich-based Codex Media to accelerate its launch in Germany. Burda has an online reach in the German market of 66 million page impressions and a market share of 35%, according to IVW.

Julia Knolle--founder of the much acclaimed fashion blog, co-developed by Burda Research & Development--joins as editor for Glam's German editorial team at The site will feature original stories, photos and videos as well as content from German publishers.
