Winners of the first annual eMarketing Masters Awards (EMMA), were announced last night at an award ceremony held at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). The EMMAs, which honor companies
bringing online communications to new heights, were awarded to Gap Inc. for Excellence in B2C eMarketing and Hewlett-Packard Company for Excellence in B2B eMarketing.
EMMA winners Gap Inc. and HP,
as companies delivering effective communications online, use the very latest technological innovations, richest designs, and best strategic marketing practices. The three Gap Inc. brands -- Gap,
Banana Republic, and Old Navy, are amongst the first to successfully execute full integration of both online and offline marketing efforts, creating seamless marketing programs.
Hewlett-Packard
Company was one of the first to deliver dynamic HTML (DHTML) messages, which include "mouseovers" to trigger color changes, pop up words and images that make the messages more interactive and
engaging. HP's DHTML campaigns have achieved remarkable eMarketing results of 71% open rates and 44% overall click-through rates. The success of their DHTML campaign is just one example of how HP is
using the science of eMarketing to push its marketing strategy into the future for consumers and business customers.
