"internet-generated" car sales will jump from 13% of total new car sales in 2001 to 32% in 2006, representing 5.7 million cars sold online. Jupiter defines an internet-generated sale as one in which
the person buying the car is either referred to an offline dealership from an online investigation or if the person finds the dealership and product online and then purchases offline.
