Whoopi Goldberg is leaving the syndicated "Hollywood Squares" as both star and co-executive producer at the end of its fourth season. She has been in the middle of the celebrity-filled game since it
launched in 1998. "We were unable to reach an agreement" with her on a new contract for the show's fifth and sixth years, company spokesman ArthurSando said Monday. He declined to discuss details of
the negotiations. Production on the current season ends May 5.
