ABC is moving "Two Guys and a Girl" out of Siberia, giving the sitcom one last shot to prove itself on Wednesday night.
After doing solid ratings in mid-week slots its first 2 1/2 years on ABC, the
series saw its Nielsen numbers dive last fall when it was moved to Friday nights.
Now, ABC execs have decided to see if there's any life left in "Two Guys," about a group of twentysomething friends
in Boston, by scheduling a three-week run on Wednesdays.
The show will return to mid-week on Wednesday, May 2, airing at 8:30 p.m., right after an original segment of "My Wife and Kids," which has
shown ratings promise since debuting last month. Another "Two Guys" will air May 9 at 8:30, with an hourlong season finale set for May 16 at 8 p.m.
The finale will be an interactive episode, with
viewers allowed to choose one of four previously taped endings via phone and Internet voting. Audiences will decide which of three female characters on the show is pregnant, or that none are with
child.
The show, originally titled "Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place," has already had its last Friday airing. The series will be replaced this Friday by the second season of "Making the
Band."
