Lowe Lintas & Partners to Close S.F. Office

Citing a soft market and dearth of news business opportunities, Lowe Lintas & Partners San Francisco, will close, U.S. Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Gary Goldsmith said in a statement. He said a dramatic softening in the San Francisco economy and cuts in ad spending necessitated the shutdown. The San Francisco office will close after it "fulfills work obligations on its existing accounts." The shop, opened in April of 1997, has worked with ZDNet, Eddie Bauer and InterNAP, all of whom have halted their ad spending with Lowe during the past eight months.
