Jennifer Lopez has agreed to a deal with NBC for a series of music specials, the first of which is scheduled to air this fall. NBC also is developing a half-hour sitcom loosely based on J. Lo's family
and the neighborhood in which she grew up in the Bronx. Lopez won't star in the series, but will be the executive producer. Her production company, Nuyorican Productions, will co-produce three
additional music and entertainment specials, as well as the sitcom. This is Lopez's first return to TV since her days as a Fly Girl on "In Living Color." NBC also has work for chef Emeril Lagasse, who
will be starring in a comedy about his life. "Emeril," which will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m., is a behind-the-scenes look at the chef, and the network describes the show as something along the lines of
"Home Improvement."
