Social Media: Outliving The Hype Bubble

I agree [with writer Catharine P. Taylor]. Difficult times call for new tactics and digging deeper to make things work. For individuals, this means staying networked -- and for companies, it means keeping their products real and connected to customers.

Living through the tech bubble burst was a challenging but it did force some necessary rigor around thinking of technology as a business. Social media is in the middle of the hype maelstrom and I'm hoping it will come out the other side stronger for the challenges the next 12 to 18 months will bring.
