Paxson Communications Corporation announced today that it has entered into Joint Sales Agreements (JSAs) with two NBC-affiliated stations and one CBS-affiliated television station owned by
Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc., the television broadcasting subsidiary of The Washington Post Company. Under the agreements, WDIV-TV Channel 4 (NBC) in Detroit, KPRC-TV Channel 2 (NBC) in Houston and
WJXT-TV Channel 4 (CBS) in Jacksonville, will provide sales and sales marketing infrastructure for local PAX TV stations WPXD TV-31, KPXB TV-49 and WBSG TV-21, respectively. Additionally, the PAX
stations will air re-purposed local newscasts in those markets. PAX has now completed 50 JSAs with PAX affiliated stations with 11 stations still remaining.
