Major advertisers are successfully reaching the elusive socially active 21-34 year old demographic in restrooms and other public areas of hot trendy clubs across the nation, according to a study
recently commissioned by InSite Advertising in New York, the leading indoor advertising company. Moreover, the trip to the ladies'/men's rooms restroom in hot clubs is a memorable experience, at
least from an advertising recall point of view. In an attempt to better understand the habits of its demographic, the elusive, socially active 21-34 year old group, New York City's InSite
Advertising commissioned Audits & Surveys Worldwide (ASW) to conduct interviews with bar/restaurant/nightclub customers who had used restrooms where InSite Advertising runs ads. Nearly 80% of those
interviewed were 18-34 years of age, with an average age of 29.8 years for all customers interviewed. The study found that 78% recalled one or more of the InSite ads; 74% of all restroom visitors
viewed this type of advertising as a good idea; by nearly a 5 to 1 ratio, a brand advertising in a restroom was much more apt to make the patron feel more positive towards that brand than more
negative; 72% of patrons felt that ads in restrooms are more noticeable than/equally as noticeable as ads appearing in other media. According to Diane Cimine, Executive VP, Marketing, OAAA, the
alternative outdoor arena "allows customized solutions for advertisers seeking unique venues for elusive target groups. Indoor advertising is a prime example. Hip and affluent young adults who
frequent bars and restaurants are not likely to be reached by mainstream media and are certainly in a more relaxed and open headset to receive a brand's message." InSite Advertising's out of home
advertising opportunities have high-profile advertisers like P&G, R.J Reynolds, Unilever, Heineken USA, United Distillers and Vintners, ABC, SONY Music, Launch.com, Atlantic Records and others
utilizing InSite Advertising in New York. The company offers perhaps the most innovative of all out of home advertising venues, in restrooms and public areas of hip, high-trafficked places. InSite's
captive audience is as up-close and personal as it gets.
