Media Metrix today announced the Top 50 multi-country Internet audience measurement results for June 2000.

According to Media Metrix, the busiest hours, among at home Internet users is between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. around the world, with heaviest usage occurring between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. in four out of seven countries.

The majority of users in the United States and Japan are on the Web later than their European counterparts, surfing from home between the hours of 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., respectively. The majority of Australian surfers, on the other hand, flock to the Web earlier in the evening, between the hours of 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. The number of Internet users decreases around the globe between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
