NBG Radio Network Syndicates The Daily Aardvark

  • August 18, 2000
NBG Radio Network, Inc. announced yesterday that it has signed a three year contract to syndicate the highly acclaimed morning show prep service The Daily Aardvark.

Prior to the contract, the service was self-distributed. The term of the contract is three years and went into effect on July 15th, 2000.

The Daily Aardvark provides topical one-liners based on current news events and hot entertainment topics. Writer Tim Mizak has over twenty years of radio comedy experience. He began his career by selling jokes to Phyllis Diller when he was a teenager, and has since co-created a short form radio comedy feature entitled Earl Pitts, American. The service has been going strong for thirteen years and currently boasts an affiliate list of 100 radio stations.

Commenting on the deal, Tim stated, "After my experience in comedy syndication for over a decade, I knew that NBG brought two important assets to the table: a professional team and momentum. If you track NBG's success over the past year, you realize they have a game plan and they're rolling through it very successfully. I feel like I'm jumping on board at the perfect time."

On a lighter side, Tim added, "We set a modest goal of 10,000 radio stations and hundreds of millions of dollars a year in income. Then again, they could be kidding me."

NBG Radio Network, Inc. (www.nbgradio.com) currently produces, syndicates or reps over 39 national radio programs or products reaching more than 2,500 radio stations in the United States. NBG Radio Network's stock is traded on the OTC BB under the symbol NSBD.
