Media Metrix reports that Bigbrother2000.com, which redirects visitors to the official site of the CBS TV show, is the top newcomer site for July 2000, with 4,249,000 unique visitors. This shows the
importance of reinforcing online efforts with offline brands. Two of the top ten newcomers conducted online banner advertising in June and July, including Switchouse.com, which dramatically increased
its online advertising impressions from 8,300 in June to 1.5 million in July, and Getrelevant.com, which ran one million banner impressions in June and 990,000 in July.
