Hub Entertainment’s “Game Consoles 2021: Respawned and Leveled Up” report reveals 36% of people aged 13-74 play video games on consoles, 51% of console gamers play every day (up 39% from 2019), 70% of men under 35 (a tough to reach group via traditional linear tv) play on consoles, 70% of console gamers play with branded in-game content (a 61% increase from 2019), 44% of console gamers that view in-game ads prefer them over regular commercials, and 72% said branded content makes games more fun to play. A win-win for marketers.
