Back-To-School Shoppers Look To Social Media, Mobile Devices For Help


Deloitte's 2022 back-to-school survey reveals that the number of parents who said they'll browse products on social media to look for deals or get advice on brands or products has risen from 44% in 2020 to 47% in 2022.

The effects of inflation can be seen in consumer spending habits, with the number of shoppers who will use social media to find out about promotions increasing from 35% last year to 41% in 2022, and shoppers searching for coupons rising from 27% in 2021 to 34% in 2022.
