According to a report by consulting firm Deloitte, Social-media platforms that display videos based on their personal characteristics tend to be perceived as more inclusive than traditional television shows and movies.

It found that three out of four consumers in the United States said they didn’t feel represented in media and entertainment. In addition, more than 40% of consumers surveyed said videos on social media are much more diverse than TV shows and movies. The figure is higher among Gen Zers (60%) and Black, multiracial, Hispanic and Latinx and LGBTQIA+ (more than 50%) consumers.
