Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) recently reintroduced H.R. 2175, The Families for ED Advertising Decency Act. This legislation imposes a sweeping ban on the airing of all ads for medications to combat
erectile dysfunction (ED) between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. The ANA is vigorously opposed to the legislation, arguing that it suppresses free speech, the ads are directed at adults, and airing
them has side health benefits. One study has shown that men who go to their doctors to discuss ED are often found to suffer from serious health conditions that have gone untreated.
