Quiznos Touts Two-fer Offer With 3-Way Synergy

Quiznos continues to hone its strategy of promoting new offerings via online sweepstakes tied into the content of TV commercials/videos and promoted in social media.<

The QSR, which used the approach to promote a new $5 cheesesteak sub last fall, is now using it to spread the word about its "Choose 2" offer (two entrées for $5, which can be combined across subs, sammies, soups and salads).

A series of TV commercials featuring the "Quiznos Toaster" character touting the Choose 2 offer began airing this week, coinciding with the launch of a Choose 2-themed online sweeps.

Once people register on the sweeps microsite (quiznoschoose2.com), they are asked to view one of the commercials online and answer two questions about the Choose 2 offer based on information in the video.

They are entered in the sweeps and get access to a product coupon regardless of whether they answer the questions correctly. The quiz questions will change each week between now and mid-February, when the sweeps ends, and users are encouraged to come back to enter again during each of those weeks. They are also being offered additional sweeps entries for themselves in return for emailing friends about the sweeps.

One entrant per week wins Choose 2 meals for a year. The grand prize winner will select two prizes from a list that includes $4,000 in cash, $4,000 in Quiznos gift cards, planting $500 in trees to offset their carbon footprints, an entertainment system, a kitchen appliance package and other prizes.

Quiznos is posting messages about the sweepstakes and the commercials -- including links into the spots on YouTube -- in its Facebook wall, as well as tweeting about Choose 2 sweeps.
