That doesn't show WHO is eating there; just what DMAs they have the most stores in, or the most stores per capita.
It's dificult to guess which figure this factoid is based on: Percent of people saying they ate there? Raw number of people?
Thank you for your comment. To clarify, the question we asked consumers was : “Did you personally eat or buy something at Taco Bell in the last six months?” The table under discussion shows, in rank order, the DMAs with highest percentage of consumers who answered “yes” to the above question.
Our study is based on a strict-area national probability sample, so that data are projectable to the entire U.S. adult population, as well as to 10 the largest DMAs, two of which made the Taco Bell top 10 (i.e., Dallas and Detroit) . However, for the purposes of the data under discussion, we presented findings from our Market by Market Product, which applies well-accepted small-area estimation techniques to our National Study data to produce statistical estimates for rankings of 200+ individual media markets on a wide variety of topics covered by our Survey of the American Consumer.
