NBCU Enters Promo Deal For 'The Hunger Games'

Looking to market the new edition of "The Hunger Games" franchise, NBCUniversal will run long-form promotional promotional content that is 13 minutes in length for the movie as part of an overall advertising campaign.

“The Hunger Games: The Phenomenon” commercial-free content will air across NBC, Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Syfy and USA beginning Nov. 10. All video content also will live exclusively on Fandango and E! Online following the on-air debut.

Lionsgate’s blockbuster film, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2,” debuts in theaters Nov. 20.

During the most current week -- October 25 through November 6 -- Lionsgate spent $5.9 million in national TV commercials, with a large part of the budget going into NFL and the World Series, according to iSpot.tv.

On Nov. 12, “The Hunger Games: The Phenomenon” will run across Bravo, E! and Oxygen at 8:00 p.m., followed by Syfy and USA at 11:00 p.m. -- attached to new original shows for those networks. These shows include “The Royals,” “Vanderpump Rules,” “Pretty Strong,” “Childhood’s End” and “The Colony.”

“The Hunger Games” franchise has already grossed more than $2.3 billion in global box-office revenues.
