Agency Media Vet Jim Poh Retires, Laura Lee Succeeds Him At Intermark

Marketing agency Intermark Group, with offices in Birmingham, AL and Decatur, GA, has hired Laura Lee as vice president, communications and media.

Lee is succeeding Jim Poh who held the role (with a slightly different title) at Intermark for seven years. The agency said he is retiring. Earlier Poh ran the media department of Crispin Porter + Bogusky during its heyday from 2001 to 2009. He then formed his own consultancy Pohmedia. before joining Landmark.

Lee will work with clients like Troy University and Alabama Tourism Department.

Most recently she was director of media at Modo Modo Agency in Atlanta and before that spent 14 years leading the media department at Jackson Spaulding also in Atlanta.

“Replacing a media legend like Jim Poh is no easy task, but Laura is the rare leader who is up to the task,” said Intermark CEO Jake McKenzie.

Intermark’s specialty is applying psychology to research insights to better understand people’s wants and behaviors.
