Taylor Swift 'Eras Tour' Concert Film Hits $100M In Advance Ticket Sales

“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” theatrical movie is poised to exceed $100 million in North America ticket sales for its opening next weekend, according to analysts -- which would be a record for a concert film.

The film, based on her current record-breaking live stadium music tour, will open October 13 -- ‘13’ being Swift's favorite and lucky number.

Globally, the film has already earned $100 million in "advance" ticket sales as of October 4, according to the film main distributor (and movie chain owner) AMC Theaters. The film will run in AMC Theaters, and other chains, worldwide.

Globally, the film will launch in 8,500 across 100 countries; and in 4,000 locations in North America.

A high $100 million North American box office mark is considered rare air for any movie.

By comparison, only five films exceed the $100 million mark domestically in their first weekend this year -- “Barbie” ($162 million); “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” ($146 million); “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” ($120 million); “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” ($118 million); and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” ($106 million).

“The Eras Tour” will play at least four showtimes per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at every AMC theater location in the United States.
