Omnicom Group is ending 2023 the way it entered it, by accelerating the role AI plays in the future of its organization, product and services, albeit this time in terms of the composition of its board of directors.

The agency holding company Monday named AI expert Casey Santos an independent director to its board, as well as a member of its finance committee.

Santos is currently Chief Information Officer at Asurion, where she leads the organization's global technology and procurement teams and strategy.

Prior to her work at Asurion, she held technology leadership roles in the finance industry, including roles at Alliance Bernstein, General Atlantic and McKinsey.

She began her career as a NASA Flight Controller supporting over 20 space shuttle missions.
