Jason Mamoa Channels Jennifer Beals In T-Mobile Super Bowl Spot

“What a feeling!”

For last year’s Super Bowl, T-Mobile enlisted John Travolta to pay homage to “Grease.” This year, promoting its home internet service, the brand brings Jennifer Beals on board for a “Flashdance” flashback.

Beals, though, only appears at the end of the :60 Big Game spot, which features actor (and now singer/dancer) Jason Mamoa and, of course, T-Mobile ad regulars Zach Braff and Donald Faison singing and dancing to the song “Flashdance.”  Braff does the iconic shoulder reveal by pushing his sweatshirt down,  and Beals provides comic relief by asking Momoa to do it again with his shirt off, but saying to Braff and Faison, “You guys are fine."

The spot, once again from Panay Films, which also did the “Grease” spot, will air during the game’s fourth quarter, marking T-Mobile’s 11th Super Bowl appearance. It has already premiered on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

Braff and Faison, who co-starred on “Scrubs” for nine seasons (2001-2010), first appeared for T-Mobile during the 2022 Super Bowl.

T-Mobile has previously announced that its prepaid brand, Metro by T-Mobile, will run a :60 spot from OKRPduring  the second quarter of Univision’s Spanish-language Super Bowl telecast.
