The Social Lights Agency Elevates Schafer To President

Minneapolis-based social agency The Social Lights has promoted Stephanie Schafer to president and chief growth officer. She was previously chief growth officer and reports to Emily Pritchard, the agency’s founder & CEO.

With Schafer’s promotion, Pritchard, who founded the agency in 2011, will shift her focus from day-to-day oversight to longer-term strategy and bringing new products and services to market.

“Over the past three years, we’ve tripled in revenue and in headcount and we’re setting the stage for even more growth in 2024,” says Pritchard. “We’ll power that expansion by staying true to what we do best: investing in talent while helping our clients think social-first.”

After nearly two decades at holding company agencies – including Mono, Olson and Carmichael Lynch – Schafer joined The Social Lights in 2021, where she also served as managing director and COO.

The agency’s clients include General Mills, Massage Envy, Kwik Trip, and Cargill.

Separately, the agency has added three executives to its leadership team: Meagan Kato as vice president of strategy, Brian Slater as senior director of content, and Kelsey Dahlager as senior director of care and engagement.

Industry veteran Kato previously served at General Mills and on strategy teams at Periscope and Mono.

Slater previously served at Public Works and Wide Open Content.

Dahlager served more than a decade leading social media operations at Target.
