Narrowstep, William Morris Align To Push Web TV

William Morris Agency is getting into the business of programming television channels for the Internet.

The big talent agency has struck a deal with Narrowstep, one of the biggest video production and distribution companies for the Internet.

The companies did not release many details as to the types of channels to be offered, but Jim Wiatt, CEO of the William Morris Agency, said: "The William Morris Agency alliance with technology leader Narrowstep is exciting and innovative and will provide tremendous opportunities for our clients."

For some time, talent agencies have mulled over the idea of constructing Internet networks for individual artists as a way to further their brand names and enhance visibility.

Both companies said the partnership will bring together content creators, advertisers and distributors to its channels.
