Magna Names Herbst-Brady President

Elizabeth Herbst-Brady of MagnaVeteran marketing and media executive Elizabeth Herbst-Brady has been named president of Magna. She will head the company in its efforts to embrace the full spectrum of media platforms--digital, print, radio and TV.

Her appointment was announced by Nick Brien, president and CEO of Mediabrands, the Interpublic Group.

Herbst-Brady has experience on both the client and agency side.

Since 2006, she has run ad sales for 20th Television, a division of 20th Century Fox. Most recently, she oversaw the development of the branded integration process for 20th Television's first-run shows and devised the company's upfront strategy.

Previously, she was senior vice president/director of national broadcast for Starcom Worldwide, responsible for $2 billion in spending for almost two dozen blue-chip clients.

She reports to the presidents of Initiative and Universal McCann, Tim Spengler and Mary Gerzema, respectively. The company was previously run by former chairman/CEO Bill Cella, who was shifted to IPG sibling shop DraftFCB in October 2006 before leaving last December.
