radioWD mainpageWoman's Day is extending its brand--to online radio.

The Hachette Filipacchi magazine has launched RadioWD, an Internet talk radio station, partnering with BlogTalk Radio. BTR, a free, Web-based radio talk show platform, allows any user with a phone and computer to host a live, interactive program.

Run by Woman's Day editors, RadioWD airs live, 30-minute talk shows each weekday that focus on health, food, finance, relationships and style. The magazine, a resource for 22 million women, will broadcast five shows: "Live Well Every Day," "In the Kitchen," "Healthy You," "Your Money Solutions" and "Everyday Style."

"The launch of our own online radio station underscores the Woman's Day commitment to innovation, and our continued mission to serve readers by delivering fresh, practical information on the issues that matter most," said Jane Chesnutt, senior vice president/editor in chief.

"RadioWD connects our editors directly with our readers in a dynamic, interactive environment that brings blogging and discussion groups to the next level," adds Chesnutt.
