Forrester Research Cuts 5% Of Staff

Forrester Research is laying off 50 people worldwide, or 5% of the workforce. The layoffs will hit all departments, but the research department headcount will remain 14% above its 2008 numbers, reports CNET. The company expects to incur pre-tax expenses of about $2.5 million to $3 million in the first quarter, related mostly to severance and benefits-related costs. George F. Colony, Forrester's CEO, reassured clients that the company remained "well-poised to successfully deliver what our clients need today and in the long term."
