Content syndication platform Mochila has partnered with
Investor's Business Daily to distribute articles, photos and video from IBD's Investors.com site. The multimedia content geared to
personal and professional investors will span a range of topics from stock trading and technology news to investor psychology.
The financial news and information service will
launch with 14 participating sites including Tribune Company's broadcast and newspaper sites, Scripps' KitsapSun.com, in Kitsap, Wash., and Spokesman.com, the online arm of the independent
Spokesman-Review in Spokane, Wash. Also on board is Belo's KVUE.com, based in Austin, Texas. A total of 40 sites are expected to join during the course of the year-long deal.
Internet-only
properties that are joining include Topix, which links news from 50,000 sources to 360,000 user-generated forums, and AnchorFree, a free virtual private network service.
IBD's sales force is
expected to sell ad space, video ads, and custom sponsorships for the syndication program. Ad revenue will be shared between Mochila, IBD and participating media partners.--Mark Walsh
