  • February 28, 2001
Mediapassage, provider of e-commerce solutions for ad media transactions, announced yesterday that it has added Yellow Pages to its suite of print media services. According to the announcement, advertisers and agencies can plan and purchase advertising in Yellow Pages directories throughout the U.S. directly from Mediapassage's website at www.mediapassage.com.

According to Gilbert Scherer, Chairman and CEO of Mediapassage, the new system will afford agencies direct access to Yellow Pages directories. He said, "From their desktops, agency media buyers will be able to research markets and directories and then directly make a buy with the click of a mouse through the Mediapassage system."

Notably, the agreement allows Mediapassage to be the only Internet source of information for all the industry's directories. The system also enables recognized advertising agencies to earn a 15% agency commission on national Yellow Page placements.
