MinyanLand, the virtual world that teaches kids about finance and money, has teamed with Random House on a promotion for the publisher's "Rapacia: The Second Circle of Heck," a sort of
literature-laced gothic adventure for pre-teens. In a joint effort with Betawave, which handles ad sales for the site, MinyanLand created a scavenger hunt featuring characters from the book hiding
throughout the site.
An ad on the home page on on user interfaces directs users to a clue a week, starting Tuesday with Lord Byron Demon and ending Friday August 28.
