Meredith Corp., which publishes
Ladies Home Journal and
Better Homes and Gardens, teamed with ServiceMagic.com, a database of 60,000 rated home-service pros. The deal allows those doing
home remodeling to access ServiceMagic's database from Meredith's Web sites, including BHG.com. It will also link to the publisher's Web properties. To monetize the arrangement, Meredith will sell
sponsorships of the database.
