YouTube uses various "black box" metrics to establish ranking and authority of videos and channels. Manny Rivas recommends a specific strategy, which he outlines, to build YouTube profiles that can
gain higher video rankings.
Rivas explains that YouTube considers the number of times a video is embedded when ranking it in the SERPs. Each post the video is embedded on is
optimized, too, and can rank alongside the video. He writes that linking into other sites and videos can help build authority, along with driving fans from Twitter, Facebook and other social sites to
videos hosted on YouTube.
