Record Labels Sue 'Ellen'

Arista Music, Atlantic and Virgin Records are among the companies suing "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." They claim producers violated their copyrights by playing more than 1,000 songs without permission, reports AP. The lawsuit charges that the songs played during the "dance over" segment were not licensed. Both older songs, like the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations" and recent songs of the day, which labels don't license for daytime TV, are cited.
