HuffPo Ads Tech Section

  • September 21, 2009
Continuing to add new content categories, The Huffington Post has launched a tech section featuring contributors including Google Vice President and "father of the Internet" Vint Cerf, Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes, and Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales.

Editing HuffPost Tech is Jose Antonio Vargas, a former political and Internet reporter at The Washington Post, who is also covering technology culture for the site. The new section includes breaking tech news stories, features, blog posts, video and community features.

Current tech bloggers include John Maeda, president of the Rhode Island School of Design, writing about the impact of Apple's design ethos and Newsweek's Dan Lyons, aka "Fake Steve Jobs," the former Forbes editor who authored the online parody of Apple's CEO. A HuffPo spokesperson said the site has advertisers lined up for the tech section, but declined to name any. --Mark Walsh
