The CBS Interactive Music Group on
Tuesday named Fred McIntyre as its new VP of products.
Reporting directly to David Goodman, president of the CBS Interactive Music Group, McIntyre will be expected to identify new customer
segments, market opportunities and product extensions to boost audience growth.
Likewise, he will be expected to help define and execute the vision and strategy for the entire portfolio of
assets within the CBS Interactive Music Group.
The CBS Interactive Music Group was launched in May of this year, bringing together CBS's digital music properties -- including CBS Radio's Web
sites, audio and video streams and mobile applications, as well as its music discovery site Last.fm.
McIntyre joins the CBS Interactive Music Group from AOL -- where, among other
responsibilities, he spent several years building AOL's global product businesses for AOL Video, AOL Radio, SHOUTcast and Winamp.
"His strategic thinking and product development expertise will
elevate all our efforts," Goodman said of McIntyre.
At AOL, McIntyre also worked in a variety of business development and programming roles including, most recently, leadership of business
development on behalf of AOL's Content business.
Prior to AOL, McIntyre served as VP of strategic partnerships for Spinner.com as well as in a variety of executive leadership positions with
SPIN and Vibe magazines.
