Sixflags.Com Spikes 51% In Traffic

According to the latest report from Nielsen//NetRatings, traffic to SixFlags.com spiked 51% for the week ending June 3, 2001, as surfers logged in from home to look up information on different amusement parks across the country.

Traffic to SixFlags.com soared to 222,000 unique visitors, compared to only 147,000 surfers the previous week, taking a spot as one of the fastest growing domains. Females comprised 58% of the audience while males made up 42%. Thirty-four percent of the surfers were between the ages of 35 to 49. Surfers spent an average of six minutes on the site, with most surfers logging in to locate Six Flags theme parks across the country.

Sean Kaldor, VP of e-commerce at NetRatings, said, "The Web has become the ideal source for vacation planning information, as thousands of establishments such as Six Flags now use the Internet to relay timely event and pricing information."
