In fact, the Woods' story helped
increase TMZ's traffic to 5 million unique visitors in the week ended Dec. 6, up from 3.2 million in the comparable week in 2008, according to comScore, an online research firm. Once it starts,
TMZSports would be the first major sports Web site to pay cash for tips and stories. TMZSports would compete with Deadspin.
