Blast Radius has opened offices in Portland, Ore. and Seattle, Wash. to augment locations in Vancouver and San Francisco. The expansion will enable the company to support clients, from Nike and Microsoft, to Starbucks.

Bringing the creative opportunities to the clients' doorstep and building relationships became the impetus for opening the offices in the two major cities. The company, which even had success in 2009 during a down year, experienced nearly 50% growth in Portland.

Jon Dorch, senior client director at Blast in Portland, says the company has been working with Nike for about eight years, with a big focus on the Jordan brand.

The companies build a collaborative space that allows creative and marketing professionals to share ideas and access information. It keeps both companies more informed about business decisions and strategic direction, according to Dorch. --Laurie Sullivan
